How I Recognized My Twin Flame After a False Twin Experience
I’m going to assume that if you found your way to this piece, you already have some sense of what a Twin Flame is. You may even find yourself in a situation where you’re trying to determine if someone is or is not your Twin Flame. If so, you might want to make a pit stop here and read my short explanation on Twin Flame recognition and intuition.
Only your intuition can tell you, for sure, if someone is connected to you at soul level and what the nature of that connection is. However, I do want to help people on their journey find greater clarity and peace around their experiences. If sharing my own can help one person feel less crazy on this journey, it’s worth it.
I have had what some might call a False Twin experience. I don’t think of it like that, because there was nothing false about it. Instead, I call them my heart catalyst, because ultimately what the experience did was break my heart open and catalyze my spiritual awakening. Any connection that can do that is very strong and has incredible value. Framing it as simply not my Twin Flame belittles the experience in a way I don’t like.
All of our connections, especially soul connections, are important and special. We meet some people to be catalyzed toward awakening, some to push us to grow, some to teach us specific lessons, some to help clear out karma. There are as many unique connective experiences as there are souls on this earth, so valuing one kind of connection (the Twin Flame) above all others makes no sense to me.
That said, when I met this catalyst, I had no frame of reference for soul connections at all. What initially made me go searching for some kind of answer was the way I could not let him go. It was impossible to forget him and I’d only known him for a few weeks. There was nothing logical about my feelings for him. And separating from him made me feel like I was dying. It was a Dark Night of The Soul, but I wouldn’t understand that until after.
